Through multidisciplinary co-creation with a remote, rural, coastal community, this project aims to place spirituality at the center of life, capturing insights, understanding and knowledge of spirituality (‘thin space’) and its benefits to individuals, heritage, community, culture and landscape.

Research Questions, Aims, and Objectives
The project is guided by the following questions:
- What is thin space, and how do people experience it?
- How can creative practices help people express experiences that are difficult to put into words?
- What can oral history, illustration, and typography reveal about memory, place, identity, and belonging?
- How can co-creative approaches strengthen connections between people, communities, and landscapes?
- What forms of knowledge emerge through radical listening and empathic visual translation?
- How might thin space provide a contemporary framework for understanding spirituality, wellbeing, and human connection?
